EQT ECU Tuning Results/Power Estimates

This is a question asked all too frequently, and while wed love to give you a specific number, there are many variables involved that can affect dyno results. Even taking the cars modifications out of the equation, there are other variables such as weather, elevation, fuel quality, dyno type, dyno fan setup, etc. that come into play. With that being said, these are ranges that most vehicles will see, given standard modifications and reasonable conditions:

• Stage 1 GTI/A3 – 270-310whp
  Stage 1 Golf R/S3 – 300-360whp

• Stage 2: GTI/A3 – 300-340whp
  Stage 2 Golf R/S3 – 330-390whp

Here are just a couple of examples of our tunes. Please note that these results were acquired on our Dynocom chassis dyno in 2WD mode and close to optimal conditions. Dyno numbers can vary greatly depending on dyno type and conditions.

World Market / Rest of World DSG Support

It was recently brought to our attention by Cobb that there are some issues with supportability of World Market / Rest of World TCM IDs or box codes. Some of these TCMs in world market vehicles will have the proper base TCM ID, however their software loads are incompatible with Cobbs released software. Cobb is aware of the issue and is working to bring support to affected world market vehicles, but we are unaware of timing for this to be resolved.

In light of this, we cannot guarantee support for world market DSG tuning at this time. If you are unsure what this means to you, please reach out to us before placing your order.

*Results may vary. Power as tested using these identical calibrations. Generally speaking, the 91 octane calibration has a richer fuel curve and a less aggressive ignition advance map to help compensate for 91 octane fuel and/or less than ideal atmospheric conditions. The map designed for 93 octane is the most aggressive.

Cobb DSG Tuning

The shift points at full throttle have been selected based on achieving the maximum torque to the wheels based on dyno results recoreded at COBB HQ.

COBB Aggressive:
Torque limits removed. Gear display. Shift delay in manual removed. Forced upshifts disabled. Forced downshifts in manual disabled. Aggressive shift point change RPM above 2k mostly. Sport mode remains in 5th until 6200+. WOT shift points optimized for tuned cars.

COBB Sport:
Torque limits removed. Gear display. Shift delay in manual removed. Forced upshifts disabled. Forced downshifts in manual disabled. Sport shift point change, about 4-500rpm higher than stock. WOT shift points optimized for cars.

COBB OEM+:
Torque limits removed. Gear display. Shift delay in manual removed.

Simulated Stock:
Stock-like DSG behavior. Does not uninstall Accessport.
