More than just the gorgeous looks of the Dry Carbon Airbox that is the substitute to the standard open element filter with the cover, the HKS Dry Carbon Intake being completely enclosed offers maximum cooling potential. Air is brought in through the factory placement, and with the hood shut the box is sealed to keep the engine’s bay’s hot temperatures from mixing with the ambient air being brought in. Aluminum piping replaces factory stock flexible hose and drastically improves intake efficiency.
You have the option of choosing the Intake with the AFR Sensor (+ $300 USD) or without the AFR sensor. Note: if you choose without then this Intake requires custom ECU tuning, or a specific basemap.
